Born in Bristol to an American mother and a British father, Matt Kane's acting training began at the tender age of nine at ITV West's renowned Television Workshop where Emma Thompson and Ken Loach are patrons.

He secured his first role on TV the following year, obtaining a minor role in the TV mini-series The Six Wives of Henry VIII. From there Kane's career gradually began to gain motion with several other small roles on television until, in 2013, his fortunes changed and he landed a major part in an American film production - starring alongside Dakota Fanning, Susan Sarandon and Kevin Kline in The Last Robin Hood. Having recently finished shooting another feature length project in the States (Stay Then Go), the young actor is now splitting his time between Britain and America as his career begins to flourish.
